Aleks Szymanski

Aleks has spent over three decades leading organizations in the UK, Europe, Asia, and the USA. He's worked with individuals, specialist teams, start-ups, high-growth ventures, and large corporations. Aleks says he has the ‘battle scars’ from his journey, and that, unquestionably, what he has done has shaped how he thinks and goes about his life.

Today, he seems happiest when working ‘elbows deep’ alongside individuals and inside talented teams, collaborating on complex challenges to help each embrace opportunities. 


Aleks has been a Coach, Instructor, Trainer, and Mentor for as long as he can remember. Today, he is a Certified Business Coach, Certified Mental Coach, and RSPA Elite Pro Level 3 Tennis Coach, helping adult athletes.

William Boyce

Back in 2020, Will was an instrumental co-host in the creation of the MINDBOX bite-sized podcasts.


Will has a background in banking as a TMT Investment banking associate at Houlihan Lokey on Wall Street, as the founder of a successful marketing agency, as an INSEAD MBA graduate, and as a former NCAA tennis player with 10+ years of tennis coaching.


Today, Will is the Founder of Padel39, the premium padel club in Texas.

Ashley Weinhold

Ashley had a decorated junior career, winning the Girls’ 18’s National Hard Courts, being ranked #1 in the nation in singles and doubles, and being named the top recruit for her graduating class. 


She was already having success on the pro circuit when she turned pro at the US Open in 2007. She has played 3 of the 4 Grand Slams in Juniors and as a Professional. Ashley played 11 years of professional tennis, reaching career-high rankings of 109 in doubles and 181 in singles.

Beverly Bowes-Hackney

Beverly was one of the most decorated tennis players in Southwest Conference (SWC) history, and a four-time All-American selection at the University of Texas in singles (1984, 1985, and 1987) and doubles (1984). She was selected to the All-SWC team four consecutive years from 1983 to 1987 and made the All-SWC doubles team twice. She was also named the SWC Player of the Year twice (1984‐85 and 1986‐87) and was named to the SWC-All Decade Team for the 1980s. She was a member of the inaugural class of the UT Women’s Hall of Honor in 2000 and was inducted into the SWC Hall of Fame in 2017. While competing professionally on the WTA Tour from 1987‐1995, she reached a top-50 ranking and played in 25 Grand Slam events.

Beverly began coaching at the Evert Tennis Academy in Boca Raton, FL, from 1996 to 1998, served as the women’s tennis coach at SMU (2000‐01), and assistant coach at the UT (2003‐05). She worked at Grey Rock, River Place Country Club, and Cimarron Hill.

Chris Haggard

Chris Haggard is a retired professional tennis player from South Africa. As a collegiate standout, he was the singles runner-up at the 1991 NAIA National Championships while competing for Auburn University–Montgomery. Chris turned professional in 1993 and went on to capture six ATP Tour doubles titles and reach 12 additional finals.


He achieved a career-high doubles ranking of World No. 19 in September 2003 and competed in World TeamTennis with the Delaware Smash until 2009. Today, Chris brings his wealth of international playing experience to Grey Rock, helping players develop their skills and love for the game.

Cliff Drysdale

Cliff has been ESPN’s voice of tennis for more than 30 years. 


He was President of the ATP from 1972-1974, and a pioneer of the two-handed backhand, a stroke that was rarely seen until he brought it to fruition in the 1960s. 


Cliff was ranked in the world Top 10 between 1965 and 1971, reaching No. 4 in 1965. He played 49 Davis Cup matches for his native South Africa from 1962 to 1974, leading his country to the 1974 Davis Cup title.

He competed in American Ninja Warrior (2011, 2012), has 12 years experience in Jeet Kune Do & Wrestling, and has been an Instructor on Naval Special Warface Orientation Course. he is perhaps best known as an announcer and motivational speaker for Spartan races, BattleFrong series, and OCR World Championships.

Dennis Ralston

Dennis Ralston was a right-handed American tennis legend whose playing career spanned the 1960s and 1970s. 


After numerous NCAA titles at USC, he won five major doubles titles and Davis Cup matches for the United States, both as a player and as captain. The great Pancho Gonzales coached Dennis. At 17 in 1960, he and 21-year-old Osuna became the second-youngest Wimbledon Gentlemen's champions in history. After retiring in 1977, he coached Chris Evert, Gabriela Sabatini, and Yannick Noah, then embarked on a college coaching career at SMU. Joined the International Hall of Fame in 1987.


Sadly, Denis passed away on Dec 6, 2020, in Austin, TX. We are privileged to have recorded these amazing podcast tracks with Dennis.

Estevam Strecker

We sat down with Estevam, the former head men’s tennis coach at St. Edward’s in Austin, Texas. 


At that time, he was awarded a second-straight Heartland Conference Coach of the Year award and led the team to two consecutive trips to the NCAA Regional Tournament. Estevam played collegiate tennis at Auburn from 1999 to 2002, claiming 86 singles victories (8th on the all-time list) and 3 NCAA Tournament appearances. He has a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science and Masters in Exercise Physiology.

Kendall Brooks

Kendall was announced as the eighth head coach in the history of the Texas State tennis program in June 2022.

In her third season as the head coach, the Bobcats had a historic season on the court, finishing 16-5 overall and 7-3 in SBC play.  In her 7 years guiding St. Edward’s, Brooks made the Hilltoppers a perennial contender in the Heartland Conference and a consistent performer in the NCAA Tournament. 

The 2018 Wilson ITA South Central Regional Coach of the Year produced 23 all-conference selections, Regional Rookie of the Year twice, 16 ITA Scholar-Athletes of the Year, an ITA Arthur Ashe Leadership National award winner, and four ITA All-Academic team awards.

She was a four-year letterman at Texas Tech from 2000-2004 and served as team captain for the Red Raiders during her final two seasons, with a career singles record of 61-58 and a doubles record of 41-17. Kendall has a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science.

Mark Hilderbrand

Mark began as Head Pro at the Green Tree Tennis Club in 1997, where both junior and adult programs won back-to-back city championships. 


In 2000, became Head Pro at Oak Hills Country Club and coached the Junior team to a silver medal in the AAU Junior Olympics in Detroit, Michigan. Moved to be Director of Tennis for the Northside Independent School District, where he was in charge of providing tennis to 65 elementary schools, 19 middle schools, and 11 high schools. While at NISD, he managed an elite program that produced two Texas 5A state champions and numerous players who went on to play for top universities. Mark has been involved in over 10 USTA High-Performance training camps. He is a USPTA 1 certified professional.

Positive Coaching Alliance

In 2020, we were lucky enough to sit down with Trennis Jones, who at that time was Executive Director, Central Texas, and represented the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA).  The PCA is a national non-profit organization with the mission of creating a positive, character-building youth sports environment that results in 'Better Athletes, Better People'.

 

Since its founding in 1998, PCA has established 18 chapters nationwide, partnered with roughly 3,500 schools and youth sports organizations to deliver more than 20,000 live group workshops, reaching 19.2 million youth.


PCA gains support from a National Advisory Board of elite coaches, professional and Olympic athletes, organization leaders, and academics who share PCA’s mission. PCA is proud to partner with more than 50 national governing bodies.

Trey Hilderbrand

Trey was born on May 15, 2000, in San Antonio, Texas. He reached No. 2 in the USA Junior ranking and No. 5 in the Tennis Recruiting Network rankings. 


In doubles, he won the 2018 Easter Bowl Championships in Palm Springs and reached the singles QF at the 2018 Junior Wimbledon Championships. He reached QF doubles and competed in singles at the 2018 US Boys Open. He also competed in the singles and doubles of the 2018 Roland Garros Junior French Championships.


Trey joined The Knights at the University of Central Florida and then moved to Texas A&M. Recently, coached by his father, Mark Hildebrand, he turned pro. He reached a career-high doubles ranking of 104 in November 2025, when he won the Drummondville ATP Challenger event in Canada with his doubles partner Mac Kiger.
